FCCLA works to educate students through FCS activities and education. All grades 9th through 12th work to promote social and intellectual growth in students by teaching basic and cultural truths as well as responsibilities.
What is FCS? FCS is an acronym that stands for Family and Consumer Sciences, it’s a practical arts class in which students learn many basic homemaking skills as well as receive education regarding economics, consumer products, and general well being. FCS classes focus on developing an individual into a responsible, capable consumer who is knowledgeable of the skills needed to succeed in the world of home and social living. Family and Consumer Sciences education is crucial to everybodys individual development. If it were not for FCS classes, one might not know how to lead their peers, to communicate effectively, or to have great, wholesome fun!
